8bang is a Korean consumer app where eight AI guardian characters help people with saju (Four Pillars), daily fortune, tarot and palm reading, and turn each reading into one concrete thing to do today. Our engine calculates the facts; Claude explains them in each guardian's own voice.

What people use it for
Fortune and saju content is hugely popular in Korea, but most services either recite fixed text or make promises they cannot keep. 8bang separates what is calculated from what is interpreted, and every guardian is built to stop short of guaranteed outcomes.

Guardians also cover study, routines, work and money paperwork, relationships and creative play, as a single set of companions who remember context.
Eight guardians, nine forms
Each guardian has one role, its own persona and speaking style. Yeonsol, the relationship companion, can appear in a masculine or feminine form. All guardians are clearly disclosed as fictional AI characters.
How we build on Claude
Claude is the voice and reasoning layer of the product. The numbers come from our own engine, and every model reply passes through checks before it reaches a user.
Persona-consistent conversations
Each guardian runs on its own persona prompt. Claude keeps the character, the role boundaries and a warm Korean speaking register across long conversations with memory.
Readings grounded in calculated facts
Our manseryeok engine computes charts from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute’s official lunar calendar and 24 solar terms data. Claude explains those facts, and a checker compares the explanation with the calculation and asks for a rewrite of any section that disagrees.
Safety before every reply
Replies are screened for guaranteed outcomes and for medical, legal or investment determinations. Crisis messages receive a fixed reply with help lines without calling the model. Every model call is logged with its usage and cost.
Vision for palm reading
With the user’s consent, Claude observes a palm photo and describes what is visible, kept separate from the traditional interpretation that follows. Most of our codebase is written with Claude Code.
Where we are
- The app is in private beta and is being tested end to end on this domain ahead of public launch in Korea.
- Our lunar calendar matches the official data for every day from 1900 to 2050, and solar term times follow the official values.
- Short-form video channels featuring the guardians are in production to introduce the app.
